Host Families
Thank you for including an international teenager in your family life. This experience will bring life-long relationships as your family expands to include your student.
Families hosting high school students are expected to provide care as they would for their own children. A stipend will be provided to cover these costs:
- A private bedroom with a dresser, closet, desk and bed.
- Three meals a day, unless the student is going out with friends for recreation time or chooses to purchase lunch from school.
- Transportation to and from school.
Don’t forget the love and care that you are providing them and parental direction as they experience our culture and pursue their education here in the United States.
The process for qualifying as a host family includes filling out our Homestay application, submitting three references, going through a background check, and receiving a home inspection and training from our local coordinator. This coordinator will provide you with support throughout your student’s time in your home.
